| Friday, Jun 12, 2009 - The MAX Roundtable hosted its first MAX Roundtable Rib-Eating Contest at MAX's Millbrook branch. Five contestants battled for the title, "Fastest Rib-Eater in the River Region" by seeing who could eat two slabs of Dreamland barbeque ribs the fastest. Wesley Barton, Marc Cumbie, James Pittman, and Christopher Woods registered on myMAX.com for the event and were selected at random to participate. At the branch and wanting to get in on some rib-eating action was Jason Gobev, who was rib-eating contestant number five. Mr. Barton won the rib-eating contest, with a time of 12 minutes and 32 seconds. Barton won a MAX Roundtable duffle bag and two tickets to an Alabama football game of his choice. All contestants received a MAX Roundtable t-shirt. MAX and Roundtable hosts, Doug Amos and Josh Moon, would like to congratulate Mr. Wesley Barton on his winning time. They would also like to thank the other contestants for their participation, those that showed up to watch the contest and cheer on the contestants and Dreamland for supplying the ribs. MAX, Doug and Josh look forward to next year's contest! Tune in to the MAX Roundtable on Sports Radio 740 AM on weekdays at Noon until 2:00 P.M. CST.
